id that complete harmony exists between bar and bench.
Talking to media along with the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) President Rana Zia Abdur Rehman on Monday, he sa
id that the issue of LHC Supervisory Committee had been resolved and it was a victory
for the institution.
He sa
id that
for the people’s interest, bar and bench had to continue the negotiation process as it would strengthen the judiciary. Adding that the Punjab bar council would decide on the reference sent by LHC in accordance with the law and woul
d withdraw earlier interim order in this regard.

id that historically, the LHC chief justice was emp
owered to proceed against any lawyer under Section 54 of Legal Practitioners & Bar Councils Act.
He further sa
id that there was no dispute between bar and bench, adding that demands regarding supervisory committee were not only raised by the LHCBA, but lawyers across the province as well. He sa
id that the basic aim of bar and bench was to provide justice and all bar associations of the province would co-operate with the chief justice and his team for achieving the aim.
Earlier, LHCBA President Rana Zia Abdur Rehman, LHCBA Vice President Sardar Tahir Shahbaz, LHCBA Secretary Anis Ghazi welcomed the chief justice and other judges on their arrival.
