ISLAMABAD: The government on Saturday increased the prices of high-speed diesel (HSD), MS 92-RON petrol and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 2 per litre each, and kerosene oil by Rs 4 per litre.
As a result, the new price of MS-92 RON petrol will be Rs 73.50 per litre, HSD will be sold at Rs 79.40, LDO at Rs 46 and kerosene oil at Rs 48 per litre. The new prices will come into force from today (Sunday).
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi considered the proposal and then decided to increase the prices of all petroleum products.
According to a statement issued by the Finance Ministry, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had earlier this week recommended the government to increase the prices of all petroleum products in a bid to keep them in line with global oil prices.
